Finished a couple of layouts recently. First one is of the ballet class Jane and I took this fall.
Other one is her being cute and playing peek-a-boo.
We went to the Hartland pool today for some swimming during their toddler splash time. Jane actually floated for a few seconds without holding me (with her life jacket on). Very gradual, we obviously don't get over there often enough. She thinks it's a blast, but isn't super confident about trying to swim on her own much yet. Snowing again today. Wee.
Did some painting on our valentines stuff today. So messy...but we had fun. Took some photos for some valentines cards since she had on her cute shirt today. It actually fits this year! She's working on being my little archer...she was funny though and said-but I don't have a bow--I'm like you can still pretend (we'll explain memetics later!)
(working on uploading photos, but internet is being annoying)
We've been talking about Valentines Day coming up in a few weeks and did some salt-dough crafts today. It's been really cold here the last few weeks. She'd like to go out to play, but it's too cold! Hoping in another month it will be starting to taper off. Baby is rolling around, and Jane loves to 'talk' to baby--I love baby, you love baby, tickle baby, etc. Cute stuff.
Jane's hair has been getting so long. Did her first braids tonight after her shower (it's so fine that it would be impossible if it was dry.) Looks pretty darn cute, and she was super patient while I was doing it!
Jane wore her new dress from Gram Nomi (from Christmas) and her legwarmers that Gram Jo made to library story time today. Legwarmers were a big hit. I lost track of how many moms that said they were cute--two of them even said that if someone were selling them--they'd be buying! She's a dancing fool these days-prancing around in the living room this afternoon.
Had my midwife appt yesterday, and the due date has finally been adjusted. Baby was kind of small during the first ultrasound, so suppose it's not surprising, but I was getting kind of attached to the May 6th date. Now we're looking at May 13th. Guess it's a week either way, and certainly doesn't mean a whole lot in the end anyway...baby will come when baby wants to. Or when baby gets too big and midwife says it's time.
Kind of tired of these really low temps. Freaky-deaky cold.
Feeling crafty today, made Jane a pillowcase for a little pillow she has, and a little bag for her to take to the library. She can start carrying her own books! She picked out the fabric from my stash and I put it together. Pretty impressed with how it came out, hope it holds up to her and to the weight of the books.
Trying to get back into the swing of things here after her visit with Gram & Gramp.
Well, been without internet for almost a week, and just finally getting caught up with everything online! Jane is spending some time with Gram Sandee and Gramp Mike. Freezing around here, ridiculously low temperatures. At least we don't have quite as much snow as Grandma as Grandpa have!
Well, Mike was back to work today, so back to normal for Jane and I... She's doing pretty good with the sleeping by herself stuff--stayed in her bed this morning til about 7:45, and at nap time when I went to leave she's like, love you, miss you, etc. Very cute stuff. And kind of amazing when I think back to even just a few months ago.
Here's a link to youtube--check out Baird's apartment in China: Apartment Amy is on her way there tomorrow morning. I just got Skype set up tonight, so pretty cool to be able to see him and talk to him. Jane thinks it's pretty fun too...if I could just get her to stop touching the laptop we'd be all good.
I'm a SAHM with two beautiful little girls, an awesome husband, two cats, and a house we're slowing making into our dream home.
I love to play with photos and save our memories, and I am fascinated with cutting pieces of fabric and creating something useful and beautiful. Handmade makes me happy.
