Ultrasound

Appointment morning...started off with visit to one of the o.b.'s at my midwife's practice. I need to meet both of the drs in case they are on call. Pretty quick and routine visit, and I'm sure she'll be fine if she's the one who delivers our baby, but I'm definitely glad I'm seeing my midwife instead. Just way more personable and spends a lot more time. Anyway, heartbeat sounded good and everything looks to be fairly on track for the due date. Off from that to our 21 week ultrasound...waiting room was packed, but we didn't have to wait too long. (Which was good b/c Jane should have stayed home in bed--cranky, whiney, cried off on on the whole ride down to yipsi, not friendly in the office, ugh.)

Anyway, ultrasound went good, got to see the baby moving around a bit, she seemed to think everything looked good. Had to roll on my side so she could get all the chambers of the heart because baby wouldn't move, but everything looks good so far. She had us close our eyes when she checked out the kidneys area...so we will find out the sex in May! We didn't close our eyes with Jane, she just moved fast, so it was kind of funny to know that we could've peeked.

Here's a few poses--starting from the top left moving to the right-the spine, head and spine, baby's head and arm, baby's head and knee.

Day After Christmas...

Whew...tired today. Been up til midnight last 3 nights in a row, I think and it's definitely catching up. Couple of videos to share here...Daddy/uncle Mike playing 'monster' which is one of Jane's favorite games, and I think it might be Averie's new fav as well. And when we got home this evening, we put together Jane's honeybee hop toy...kind of a stationary jumprope thing. She's definitely going to burn off some energy with this.

Christmas in P.H.

We headed for Port Huron this afternoon. No napping in the car...well, I did for 20 minutes, but not Jane. We were a little worried, but she had a ton of fun playing with Cassidy, and ate her dinner on a bar stool and played with the kids. Headed back to Jenny & Brian's and we did Christmas presents, little touch and go as both girls were rapidly getting tired. Jane wanted to sleep in the playpen (surprise to me!), and she ended up going to sleep in it all night. Such a big girl last few nights. Check out the video of Jane and Averie's dance-a-thon:

Christmas Morning

We made it home last night and got everything under the tree. Jane slept all night in her bed!! And she got up and came to get us for Santa... She was pretty cute walking into the room and checking out her new toys.

Christmas Marathon/Fun

We've started our Christmas trek around Michigan. First stop--Schoolcraft to Mom's house. Jane helped decorate the tree last night--lots of garland--and some on Kaydo as well as the tree.
Highlights of today--marshmallow gun fight and Amy's croissants. Great afternoon and lots of fun presents and great to see Baird and Amy before they head to China.

Moving...

Finally starting to get more frequent baby movements. Had some here and there more towards the beginning of the month, but then wasn't noticing as much. Which is kind of freaky, since once I feel something, I want to feel it all the time because it's reassuring! But had quite a bit this morning, and more repetitive, which is kind of new too. Mostly I've had a little wiggle here and there and not much repeating at the same time, but getting more frequent--hence getting bigger probably! I'm pretty excited to have Jane be able to feel the baby move, but probably will be at least a few more weeks before it's strong enough for her to really feel.

We got a TON of snow on friday--like probably around 10" at least. Most I've seen in quite awhile. Mike spent the day trying to get his car out...once you slide off our driveway, it's all over. Slinky came to help pull him out, and we've got his car and my truck down up past the incline in the driveway, so hopefully we can get out tomorrow. Supposed to get a little more snow over the next few days. Weee. Few more things to pick up for Christmas, but doing pretty good. It's going to be a crazy week...we head for K'zoo on the 23rd as soon as Mike is home from work. Spend the night and have Christmas with my fam on the 24th, then head home that afternoon/early evening and finish up last minute details here. Our fam christmas on the morning of the 25th, then off to P.H. for Christmas dinner with Mike's side. Spend the night with Jenny & Brian, and head home sometime the 26th. Then we'll go to Debbie's on the 27th for the rest of Mike's side. Whew. Then we will stay home for a week and sleep...haha. Should be fun, I think Jane will have a blast this year, assuming she can make it through all the travel and excitement without shutting down.

New Layouts

Couple of new layouts...still trying to finish up summer photos! And I finished my layout for January Pagemaps, keep your eye out in January for that, I'm pretty excited to have a layout on such a fun site.

Both of these are going to Scraptales store in Brighton, as my design team work.

Cookies Everywhere!

Well, I think we got more than the 1 inch of snow we were supposed to get! Luckily everyone from this side of the state made it here. Mom and Grandma were a bit snowed in over in K'zoo. Lots of yummy cookies and fun to have the 3 kids running around. Check out the dancing moves...

Busy Week.

Spent most of this week getting ready for the cookie party on saturday. Crossing fingers for decent weather tomorrow. We went outside to cut down our tree this afternoon. Love the charlie brown tree...not sure what we'll do next year, I think we've exhausted the supply around our property. Worked on some cookies with Jane's help, she crushed some candy canes for me. Jane and Gram D went to the nutcracker ballet this evening. Sounds like it was a great show.

Black Friday

We spent the night at mom's house and Mike got up at 2 a.m. to head to Best Buy to get in line for the laptop we wanted. But when he got there it was tent city! So he hung out til they passed out their 'tickets' and finally realized that they ran out of laptop ones, so he headed over to Office Depot. I got up at 4 a.m. and came into town with Dad. He ran into Sears and then we went over to Target....HUGE line, we thought once they opened at 6 we would just file in (not realizing that the line went past the entire stripmall and around the building! ) We finally got in line and were inside around 6:15 a.m. I was convinced that I had missed out on the t.v. we wanted, but they had a whole pallet full. Then I lucked out and got into the line at electronics...so I was out of there probably at least an hour earlier than if i was in the line wrapping around the store. But...I forgot to charge my cell--so I ended up using a pay phone (yes, they still exist!) to call Mike (who was in line for the laptop). We ran to a few more stores and had breakfast--we were done by like 9:30 a.m. Good day of shopping.

Give thanks...

Jane spent the week at Grandma & Grandpa's house and we met up with her in Allegan at G&G Carlson's house. Nice to see them before they head to florida. Got some great hugs from Jane when we got there. She had fun playing with the cousins, and loved Chloe's guitar. Check her out, way cute stuff!

No excuses!

Well, Mom & Dad came to visit over the weekend. Jane got to go with them to see The Cat and the Fiddlers-a local kids group that plays bluegrass, etc. It was at our little music hall in Hartland. She 'had' to wear her new dress from Grandma, and was just too adorable. They stayed at the concert for a good 2 hours, which is some amazing attention span for a not quite 3 year old. Sounds like they all had a blast. Mom also decided that she wanted to 'borrow' Jane for the week. We'll get her when we go to Allegan for Thanksgiving at Gram Jo & Gramp Don's. Wow, so now I have no excuses to not get things done. It's a little quiet around here, and it's almost so exciting to have a little time to myself that I'm not quite sure that I know what to do! Hoping that we can get the kitchen all painted and put pack together before we head out for Thanksgiving. Should be easier to be a little more efficient without our little 'helper.' I am getting some scrapbooking done, working on some calendar pages from a swap. Too much fun. Well, back to laundry, I will get caught up, I will get caught up, I will get caught up!

Oh--and holy snow batman. I thought we were supposed to maybe get an inch today, but I think we've already got that in the last hour or so.

Gingerbread

We went to the library to make a gingerbread house today. Mike had the day off, so nice to do something with all three of us. Jane had fun, and I think we managed to keep her from eating too many of the decorations.

Flu Shots, wee.

Well, Jane and I went in for our flu shots today. It's kind of cute watching her act shy...we've known the receptionist since she was a baby, but she was actually hiding behind me today. Just so out of her normal behavior at home. Anyway, I got my shot while she watched intently and then she had to lay down to get hers in her leg. I kind of held her arms and the nurse gave her the shot. She says "OUCH" and gives a tiny whine and then is fine. What a big girl. I wasn't sure how it was going to go, she hasn't had a shot in a really long time. Then, when we were at the grocery store later, she's complaining that she didn't get one in her arm. (I had originally told her that it would probably be in my arm, forgetting that they tend to do shots in the thigh for little ones.) I asked her if she wanted to go back for another one in her arm. Yes. What a weirdo! :)

Busy weekend planned, gingerbread house building tomorrow at the library and then Jane is spending the night at Gram D's. Then Gram Sandee and Gramp Mike are coming up on Saturday to take her to a little concert here in the village. Should be interesting to see how that goes. We're staying home and hopefully finishing up painting in the kitchen.

Thump?

Haven't decided yet if I'm really feeling some little thumps or not. Maybe. Or maybe I'm just getting antsy since I hear you feel movement sooner with the second one since you know what it feels like. If so, it's definitely not like big kicks yet or anything, maybe the butterflies. Maybe.

Did I mention that the downs test came back negative? I keep forgetting to take some pics of the ultrasound pics from the ultrascreen test (that's the early test they can do now for downs and other chromosome disorders.) Little stressful, but so busy this year that I didn't even worry about stuff like I did when I was pregnant with Jane. And I was sick most of that week, barely registered that we never got a phone call (they call if it's in a positive range), and got the postcard with the all is good message. Nice sigh of relief, not that I was expecting anything bad, but it's nice to know.

Feeling slightly better, I think through this cold finally. Maybe have a little bit of allergies or something, but tolerable. Had an awesome migraine on Thursday with the blurry vision spots and everything--oh and I threw-up that morning for the first time! I think it was all mostly to do with not sleeping real well the night before. I made eggs for us at like 6:30 a.m. (little early for us). 8:30am. Uhoh. We went down to Novi anyway so I could look for a christmas outfit for Jane, and she played for a long time at the play area. But then the headache started. I'm hoping that is the first and last one of those for this pregnancy. Not fun.

We've been trying to get Jane to at least try to go to sleep by herself this week. In her bed. Tried saying we'll be back to check on you. That equated to a hour 1/2 or so of screaming for two nights. So now we're trying to just lay on the floor in her room. Little more gradual. Semi-successful. It's a process, I'm sure we'll look back at it in a few years when she's in elementary school with girlfriends over for a sleep over and smile. At the moment...it's a little touch and go. She's in a big emotional up and down period right now. Gets herself stressed out and worked up and pretty hard to get out of it. I do think we are back to being over 95% potty trained, though. Big girl undies all last week. And I'm trusting her a bit more to tell me when she needs to go. Less screaming by the end of the week, getting more into a routine, I guess. (We try to get her to 'try' frequently hoping that reduces accidents, but sometimes she flips out about not wanting to go.) But no accidents, and we went to a number of public places sans pull-ups. Crossing my fingers all the time!

Looks like winter is here...snowy and cold week ahead.

First Snow!

Woke up to a dusting of snow, so we bundled up and went out to play a little. Jane got cold quick, need some real gloves for her. She really wanted to make a snowman, but not quite enough yet. Guess winter is here, though!

3+ Months

Going to try and take photos of Jenny and I every 3 months or so... This is us at 3+ months... 14 & 15 weeks, I think? She's a week further along than I am. She came down with Averie for a little visit, and we just let the girls 'play' together. Averie was hardcore into Mommy separation anxiety if Jenny tried to let go of her...until we went to the basement. Then she was a whole different child. Check out the video crazyness!

Favorite Layouts

I've been meaning to get some layout photos up, and I finally figured out how to add the slide show on the left. Will try to keep adding new ones as I get them done. This layout is for DIY-single page sketch-my very late example! And I used materials from ScrapTales-I'm on the design team there this fall, so will be taking this into the store tomorrow.

Oh--my excitement--I get to work on one of Becky Fleck's PageMaps--for the December newsletter. So keep your eye out for that! I will post a link once it's all up.

Vote!!!

Well, Jane officially has a cold today. Runny nose and some spit-up/throw-up this afternoon during her nap. Wee. Maybe since we've both got them in the fall we'll miss the late winter/early spring ones we seem to get usually. Did everyone go vote today?? We did, Jane wore her Future President shirt, and she was cuddling with donkey this afternoon. He came along for the voting--our tiny little slam against ultra-conservative Livingston county--which I'm sure very few people even noticed! (You know--donkey=democrat...) Well, we'll sit tonight and hopefully watch Obama become our new President. Should be interesting.

Happy Halloween!

Crazy day. Ultrasound appt down in yipsi--wee, big enough this time! Then home to finish packing, Fenton for some b-day lunch for Mike, and off to P.H. Nice but quick dinner, then a trick-o-treating we will go. Averie was a little sicky, so maybe not quite as into it as if she was feeling better, but she got some candy and was a super cute ducky! Jane was the world's cutest doctor. I was afraid she might get stage fright, but she was running up to doors saying trick-o-treat, trying to grab extra candy for Averie, and being pretty good about saying occasional thank-yous, or more often-happy halloween! We only went down one street and back, but by the time we were heading back, Jane was having trouble carrying her pumpkin, so figure that's a pretty good haul for a 2 year old! Mike and I both felt bad--after analyzing her stash--the one candy she picked to eat that night--a bag of candy corn. What?? Candy corn? Really? Not chocolate? Really? That's the one you want? Yup. And she was pretty happy with it... By the end of the night I felt like a bus ran me over...and then backed up a dozen times to make sure the job was done--yes, I've got a cold. Weee.

Pumpkin Goo

Carved our pumpkins this afternoon. Jane started out with-ewww, but Mom it's icky. (Then I told her I thought she was better at the scooping out when she was a baby.) And we went to stirring and squeezing the seeds...and eventually to rubbing it on her arms like lotion. Yum. So, we tried to make a pumpkin family--mine was supposed to look pregnant. I think it just looks like it has a really big chin!

Happy Wedding Day!!!

Baird got hitched! Beautiful ceremony at Grandma & Grandpa Carlson's church in Oshtemo. They wrote their own vows, which were very sweet. Off to Verhages's orchard, but it was drizzling and kind of chilly, so we went to Amy's mom's to eat our donuts and cider. Dinner at Sushiya in Kalamazoo...which was great. Awesome sushi and appetizers, Jane loved her miso soup. Spectacular plate presentations for our dinners. Wonderful evening. We're so glad to have Amy join our family. Baird is off to China early next week, but he'll be back for her graduation and the holidays in December. It was a wonderful wedding day with immediate family around to share in the celebration together.

Busy Day...

Started off the day with Mike & Jane working on leaves. Yes, it's that time of year again... Love the trees on our property, but they make a big mess! Off to our Ultrasound appt down in Ann Arbor...and our due date is off a bit, so we'll have to try again next week and let the little one grow a bit more. Onwards to Kalamazoo. Surprise pre-wedding dessert/dinner with Amy. Jane enjoyed stuffing her with more chocolate cake and coke.

Garage Clean-out!

Spent most of today cleaning out the garage. Jane spent the day with Gram D, which was nice for her, and we actually managed to get something accomplished. Took longer than we hoped, and still things need moved to the barn once it's got floor space, but I think we will be able to actually park cars in the garage this winter! Wee...no scraping.

Spicers Orchard

We basically live at Spicers orchard on weekends in the fall. Pretty hard to resist warm cinnamon donuts. Did I mention they are warm? Yum. My niece Averie came to visit today, and we took her and Debbie up there. She LOVED the roosters. Check out the bouncing and cock-a-doodleing. Pretty fun day playing with the two girls. We played outside, beautiful fall day, after they both took naps (whew!) we did some pudding painting and some sponges with water. I do think that two kids is definitely going to be a huge adjustment when it's for 'real' next spring! At least they sleep a lot at the beginning....

Toddler Storytime

We've been going to Cromaine library in the village here since Jane was about eight months old. We started with babygarden, and she's now in Toddler storytime. It's wonderful having such a great free program that is about 2 minutes from our house! Jane loves going to the library, and it gives her a chance to interact a little bit with other kids. Storytime includes a craft at the end, and this is her starting her 'mouse' painting (we read a book about mice who 'painted' themselves and found how primary colors mix.)

Of course.

So productive and on my feet yesterday...what do I wake up to? Oh yes, more spotting. Seems to have come and gone pretty quickly, so probably just did too much yesterday. Highly frustrating and stressful. I thought I was done with this and I thought just about through this first trimester stuff. Argh.

Took some pics of Jane in her super cute dr. scrubs costume that Mom made for her. I'm going to make her a little ID badge and needed a head shot. We had to go outside for good lighting. It's fall all of a sudden. Mike just mowed the grass this weekend, but all I see now is leaves! I know, I know, everyone is going to think she's a nurse (i'm putting the 'DR' in big letters on her badge), but she wanted the purple fabric (nothing to do with it being my fav color). And yes, she always smiles this cute when she sees a camera (especially when Mommy is banging a little dog against her arm!).

Day-glo?

So productive today, weee. Decided that the yellow really needed covered up in the kitchen to give the new orange wall a fair shot. We're still not sure about it--is it nice and modern? Or is it day-glo orange? Lots of painting and cleaning today. Nice to feel a little better. Jane is Daddy's girl right now. Pretty much all I hear is 'I want Daddy' and that pretty much goes on all day long. It's a good thing, but when it starts at 8am... 4:30 can't come soon enough for either of us!

A Pumpkin Hunting We Will Go...

Just a beautiful morning. Donuts at Spicers and then off to Dietrich's Pumpkin Farm. We got there right when they opened, so Jane had the run of the place. I think she almost liked the ride-on bunny more than the pumpkins, but did find her a little one. And got a vaguely pregnant looking pumpkin for me and a tall skinny one for Mike. Jane also got a tiny baby pumpkin that she loves. So now we've got the whole pumpkin family. She loves the baby pumpkin so much that she took it and put it on her bedside table for nap; she woke up half way through and asked me for the pumpkin--then she cuddled it, rolled over and went back to sleep. Too cute. Even with napping with her, I was still pretty run down feeling this afternoon and evening. Mike cooked dinner and has been catching up on all the stuff he's got on his list around here. Roof fixing and the lawn, he's doing it all. I keep thinking I'll feel good and productive, but it doesn't seem to be working out yet. Maybe in a few weeks, I hope!

Here Fishy Fishy

Ummm, trout stuffed with lentils. Yum. Wish I could've eaten more of it, back into the getting full really quickly. Hungry again later, but little amounts here and there. And still tired and vaguely nauseated. Nice morning, out to breakfast, and then I went shopping and Mike took Jane to the indoor playground-for like 2+ hours! Way more fun to go with Daddy, and I don't know if I could last that long there anyway!

Kitten Love

Had a nice weekend, and then went to Kalamazoo so that Mom could work on Jane's Halloween costume. Jane spent most of Monday with Grandpa Mike-got some new boots that she loves to wear out to the barn (and to dance class today). And she fell in love with the kittens. This one is Jet, who is about the friendliest barn cat ever. And the most patient cat I've ever seen, he let her haul him all over! Just flopped over an arm or hanging halfway on. Pretty cute stuff. Monday was good to hang out with Mom. Tuesday blew. Baird made a huge egg breakfast and even some plain eggs for me and I barely could eat anything. Rest of the day was like that-tired, nauseated, kind of bloated feeling--or maybe just really starting to feel like I've got a pregnant tummy. Just rested for most of today.

Back to Scrapping

Okay, finally got back to a little scrapbooking. Needed to get a layout done for a little sketch challenge I run on the DIY board. Did this quick one yesterday of Jane at Lake Huron this summer. Got to use this rock paper I've had for awhile. Need to work on some Halloween cards for Susan's card sketch a day site now. Little more tired today, but guess that's how it's going to go!

Good Day

Okay, today was a good day. Finally! Yesterday I about lost it--more spotting in the morning. I am SOOOO done with the spotting. I know we just had a really good check up and ultrasound, but to have it start again was about my last straw. So, more PBS for Jane and more resting for me. Just don't know what else to do when that happens, and it's just soo stressful. Anyway, it did stop, and nothing today. More energy and much more positive outlook on life. Got new cell phones last night, so playing around with that today and Jane had ballet this morning as well. And it's cold out. Brrr. Supposed to be worse tonight. Just really not looking forward to the winter stuff!

New pics

Okay, more spotting today. Called midwife's office, and they got us in for an appt down in Yipsi. Pretty much spent the day with Jane parked in front of PBS. Once we got down there, she did another ultrasound right off the bat--and got a nice clear pic and got to really sit and watch the heart flutter. Nice strong heart beat. Whew. Just haven't even known what to think up til now. Very cool to see the heart beating like crazy. Very cool to have Mike along this time. Baby is between the two little '+' marks on the glarey photo. Otherwise, everything else checked out good at the appt as well. So, good to go until the end of October at this point.

Sunday, September 28, 2008

Ugh...

Wake up to a lovely Sunday morning. Oh. Except there's more spotting. Ugh. Super ugh. I thought I was through this.

Went to the Parshallville Grist mill for some donuts. Here's Jane stuffing her face. Guess fall is officially here!

Low key day for me. Mike's been super busy on the mudroom. Check out our super cool new coat rack and shoe area. He's going to re-do the lower shelves, they need a bit more support. But turned out very cool. Nice to have a place to hang our coats as it gets cooler out. Jane can 'almost' reach her lower pegs.

Midwife Appt.

First appt this afternoon. Didn't realize I would get to see my midwife, but I did. So, got all the info, and she did an ultrasound since I've had spotting. So nice to get a little reassurance. I'm such a stressball about this stuff, hard to relax and not worry constantly. She figured May 6th as a due date based on dates, but thought the baby might look more like 6 weeks right now instead of 8 weeks. Will do another ultrasound at the appt next week to see if we can see more. But--she saw a heartbeat and I think I saw the flutter too. Good stuff. Oh--the two little + marks are wher the baby is...I know, not the best pic and not the best photo of it in the first place!

Visit

Went out to breakfast with Grandma Jo, Grandpa Don, and Dad in Brighton. Nice to catch up with them. Jane had fun with all of them. Did some errands afterwards, trying to figure out a Halloween costume for Jane. Tiger? Dr? Not sure...she's kind of enamored of the tiger idea, but the patterns weren't super cute at JoAnns. Jane fell asleep as I pulled in the drive way at 11:30. Wee. Then she was up at 12:20. So, thought I'd try to get some of the painting started in the kitchen-lots of energy, she's in a good mood, will be a good afternoon. But I don't like the paint, so called Mike and made big plans -make some pumpkin bread, start dinner, will go to the paint stores, Home Depot. I barely got dinner made. Just hit a wall at 2:30. Kind of frustrating, but guess that's how it goes. Afternoons are turning out to be my low times of the day, that's for sure.

Sunday, September 21, 2008

Tired

Pretty tired lately, not sleepy tired persay, just kind of not full of energy. Weee. Called Dad to see when they are coming tomorrow, turns out they were in Toledo, so are going to spend the night. Rushing around cleaning. :) Nice visit. Jane has done great--big girl underpants all day today except nap! Weee. Little accident late tonight--we weren't on her, and lots of excitement with Grandparents here. She's playing with Grandpa Don and all of a sudden-pee everywhere, I thought he was going to put his foot into it. Of course--after we've been bragging about how good she's doing! But, not, great steps towards no diapers!

ShopADay

Went shopping (shopaday as Jane calls it) with Mindy today. Good catch up. Both kiddos did pretty good for the whole outlet mall run. Had some sandwiches at a park afterwards. Figure Jane is going to be okay as a sibling--we were done eating and the kids were running around. Jane is like, that boy eating. I'm like what? Turns out he had a wood chip in his mouth, so think she's going to be a good helper! Pretty tired when we got back. Beautiful day, but warm by the afternoon.

Oh--And Baird is getting married!!!

Sun Sun Sun!!!

To quote one of Jane's favorite books--sun sun sun! It's finally cleared up. Pretty icky yesterday. It's also feeling more like fall...I'm not sure I'm ready to be cold yet. Spotting seems to be gone, so that's good. Meijers trip yesterday, pretty nauseated. Kind of re-thinking the nausea--maybe it's a good thing--makes me feel a little more like things are going okay. Midwife's office said to just keep an eye on it. They don't like to see it, but... and I'm not having cramping, I don't think, so hopefully that was the last of it. Appt next week, so will be glad to get in and chat with a nurse. First ultrasound the week after that, can't wait for that either.

Thought I'd try the potty training thing again, read that a good way is to try to put them on the potty every 20/30 minutes. Put on underroos when we got up. She went pee before breakfast, set the timer. We tried after breakfast, nothing. Went to the basement, she wanted to go up after 5 minutes and go potty, nothing. Went back down again, she's playing, then 10 minutes later I see her butt. It's brown. Oh goodie, poop in the cute underpants and through her pjs. I think we'll do a diaper for the rest of the morning. Oh yeah, there's some on the carpet too. Wee.

Favorite Jane quote: 'It's my JOB'. (Obviously not currently referring to going potty).

Where's my Ark?

It's been raining all weekend. Really hard. It's making our house leak. Not cool. At first...I'm like awww, a rainy day, haven't had one of those in awhile. Now I'm wondering if will will ever stop! Thank you hurricane.

Spotting again all day. ugh. Getting really tired of this, it's kind of scary, and I wish it would stop.

Jenny came down to Debbie's house yesterday, and we took the girls to an indoor play area in Howell. Fun but crazy. Not sure I can keep track of four kids if we come back in a few years. It was hard enough with 3 adults and two toddlers!

On the road again...

Okay...did another test friday morning. Good to go. Went to Liz's wedding and had a nice evening. Beautiful church and ceremony. Saturday was the start of a long weekend...drove up to Onekama to surprise Grandma Underwood at a Reynolds reunion. Great time, beautiful location and weather. Drive on Saturday went well. Nice dinner out with the whole family. Jane was really good. Pretty tired and a little nauseated Sunday morning. Kind of took it easy. Went to lunch with Mom, Jane was not happy. But she wouldn't nap back at the hotel, so ended up skipping that, played on the beach and went for a speed boat ride with cousins John & Debbie. Jane almost slept once we went fast. Monday Mom & I went down to Manistee and we walked the board walk. Put in almost 3 miles! Wee. Felt a little achy Tuesday morning, but that is probably as much due to the hard bed as the walking. Really tired and pretty nauseated on Tuesday night. Big lunch might not have helped, we stopped for pasties. Scheduled appts, which is good, because even though it's settled that I'm pregnant, now it's kind of that weird period where it doesn't seem too real. Mike mentioned I wasn't supposed to have blue cheese after I was telling him about this awesome salad I had (brought home some of the dressing). Whoops, forgot about that. Pretty much cleared out caffine, and have one 12 pack of dt. rootbeer that I figure I won't buy anymore after that. Interested to see what the midwife's office has on their 'to avoid' list.
